1. 108 Ways to Grab My Apples.
This book tops my list not because I am on the cover of this book but because of its unusual size. It is a squarish book that is both pocket and handbag friendly, which makes it an ideal and thoughtful gift. The little quotes/nuggets of timeless wisdom by H. E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche within serves to inspire and bring relief for the modern busy individual who don't have time to digest more extensive books.

2. Gurus For Hire, Enlightenment For Sale
This book is a classic compendium for all spiritual seekers of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Rinpoche gives a very vivid image of what a spiritual path would be like and how to avoid the common pitfalls of center politics, Lama bashing, center-bashing and all manner of 'tabooed' subjects. Many of his explanations are coupled with real life experience, which makes his advice very practical and simple. One doesn't need to have preliminary understanding of deep philosophical subjects to understand where Rinpoche is coming from. I think this book is a real gem and ought to be read by everyone!

3. Call Me Paris
This is really a great read and offers a unique perspective of a rich spoilt girl entering onto the path of spirituality. Although I know her pretty well but reading her succulent words still offers a rather fresh perspective of a familiar world. She is very frank in her book and writes rather irreverently in the beginning as she toys with the idea of being spiritual. I love her brashness, humour and the way she uses words to weave a spectacular story. Besides that, I love her cover and I think it exemplifies her charming character. An essential read for all age groups. Don't let the quirky cover fool you, she does have a lot of substance and you might get an epiphany while reading.

4. The Illustrated Life Story Of Lama Tsongkhapa
The esoteric hagiography of Lama Tsongkhapa's life is finally accessible and easily read by many out there. Having Tsongkhapa's life story in the form of a graphic novel/comic was the brainchild of Rinpoche's. Hence, we get to witness the visionary experiences for what they are and experience the sacred footsteps of Lama Tsongkhapa with this wonderful comic book!

5. Vajrayogini and Other Sacred Power Places In Nepal
I know this book was written by me but really, I can't lay claim to the information and the amazing photos within the book. I am no great photographer or know that much about Vajrayogini and especially all the amazing background stories that are associated with the amazing power places. All yourself to be transported by the amazing photos and the great stories told within this book. I have also written a little about who and what Vajrayogini and also about Naropa, the first lineage master of Vajrayogini.
